Establishing a Resource Hub for AI Success Stories in Education

Recent discussions with our community have emphasised the importance of sharing best practices and promoting successful examples of AI use in education. Following this feedback, we are looking to create a comprehensive resource, showcasing AI use from across Further Education (FE) and Higher Education (HE) institutions that we hope will benefit our members.

We are keen to hear successful, specific examples of how AI has improved your educational practices, whether that be examples of prompts you used to create an excellent lesson plan or a description of a more complex workflow involving various AI tools. Do you have a standout example that worked really well for you? How did this innovation benefit your students?

We would like to know the context, tools used, outcomes achieved, and insights gained from your experiences. Your contributions will enrich our resource and support, inspire and benefit colleagues.

Some examples of what we are looking for:

  • ‘I teach X in FE. One of the best examples would be when I used X to create a lesson plan. The prompts I used were XYZ and I used X tool. I had to refine the answers it gave me by XYZ and in the end I got X. This was great because…’
  • ‘I made a video for my HE Art History students to watch in a lecture. I started with DALL-E, chatting with it to get ideas until I got an image I liked. Some of the things I asked were XYZ. I then imported it to RunwayML to animate it, creating an 18 second video, which I edited into the main video using XYZ. It was really successful because…’

We invite you to share your standout examples with us at ai@jisc.ac.uk or please reach out if you have any questions. Your participation will play a key role in creating a resource that drives progress and sparks innovation in our educational community.
